Thinking about Visiting?

We realize it can be uncomfortable to walk into a church for the first time especially when you’re uncertain about what it’s like. 
We desire to help you feel comfortable even before you walk through the doors at New Hope Community Church. Below is a list of common questions people may have prior to visiting a new church:
Where do I go when I arrive?
We would love for you to arrive a little early to become familiar with our church campus. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by our “Welcome Team”. We have a main lobby area where you’ll find our “Information Center” – here you will find all information about upcoming events and be able to ask any questions you may have. We also have coffee and comfortable seating available in the lobby area.
How should I dress?
We ask that you come as you are. You will see people dressed in their own style – some will be in jeans and shirts while others may be dressed up. Most are dressed in casual clothes.
What are your services like?
We offer two Sunday morning services. Each service offer the same worship and message. Our service begins with worship – the music is upbeat, energetic and encouraging. Our messages are relevant, biblical messages that are designed to help you grow, learn and simply have a deeper understanding of the Word of God.
Do you offer classes for my children?
We offer Sunday morning classes for children (3 months – 5th grade) during the 9:30am & 11:15am services. Children’s classes are not available during the 8am service. Check out our Children’s Ministry page for more information.
We also offer a class for Jr. High Students (6th -8th grade) during the 9:30am service. Check out our Youth Ministry page for more information.
High School Students (9th-12th) grade are encouraged to attend Sunday morning services.
How do I check my children in for their classes?
Our Children’s Ministry check-in team will be available to help new families get set up in the computer system on Sunday mornings. Each time you arrive, you will check your children (nursery – 5th grade) in at the check-in kiosks near the Nursery classroom. You will find several computers upon your arrival. Simply type in your phone number, select the names of the appropriate children to be checked-in along with the service time they are attending. Once you’ve selected the children and service times, press “print labels” and three labels for each child will print. One label goes on your child, one will be placed in the classroom check-in log when you drop off your child and you will keep the remaining label with you. Each set of labels have a unique set of letters and numbers printed on them. When service is over, simply return to your child’s classroom and present your label to check out your child.
Students in the Jr. High do not need to be checked in by their parents for the Jr. High class. Students will be dismissed during the 9:30am service after worship – we ask that students stay with their parents until the students are dismissed.
What if my child needs me while I’m in service?
If for some reason your child’s teacher needs to reach you during service, your number (referenced on the label from check-in) will be placed on the screen in the main sanctuary. If your number appears, simply return to your child’s classroom.
Where are your church services located?
We offer three Sunday Morning Services at our Gilroy Campus (8886 Muraoka Drive in Gilroy, CA). Service times at the Gilroy campus are 8, 9:30 & 11:15am.
